Earth & Space Science Challenges!

This year in ESS, we will focus on modern global issues that threaten our beautiful planet. It will be the responsibility of this and future generations to find solutions to these problems through raising awareness, discovering new technology, rewarding innovation, and by passing legislation. This blog will reflect the voice of every earth and space science student in Ms. B's classes during the 2014-2015 school year, as they experience where earth began and where it is going.

Cowspiracy!

Go to cowspiracy.com to reserve your spot to see this very important film! If enough people sign-up, the showing will be Tuesday, October 14th at 6:30 at the Studio Movie Grill in Arlington (Search Arlington, Texas for this event).

After you purchase your ticket, sign-up with Ms. B so you can receive credit!

Star Party!

Come to Astronomy's first star party of the year on Wednesday, October 1st in the parking lot by the field house at CHS! They will provide a grill for cooking dogs, numerous activities to help us better understand the night sky, and a telescope focused on the Moon!

Sign-up to attend! Don't forget to check the food list to see what is still needed so we have a great feast!

Planetarium Visit!-POSTPONED :(

Join ESS and Astronomy learners at the Planetarium at UT Arlington on Monday, September 29th at 6:30pm to see the Texas night sky (as it should be seen) and the show, We Are Astronomers! Cost to get in will be $4-7. The price goes down as people sign-up, so bring your friends and family.
